I contacted Virgin Australia to find out how much the rebooking fee is to change te date of my flight back to Bali, and couldn't believe the answer.
Eight hundred and forty fucking dollars, on a ticket that cost just over nine hundred, return.
I can buy a new one-way ticket for six hundred. Seriously, does anyone ever actually pay this kind of bullshit surcharge? If so, why? If not, why do the airlines even try to charge it?
I'm truly amazed and shocked. Bastards!
Factoring in the extra I'll put in the bank by working an extra six weeks, it's cheaper to just book a new ticket all the way back to Europe … via Taipei!!
